FPC is a gathering of people striving to know, love, and follow Jesus. We gather around God’s Word and are sent out to be God's people in the world. We are Presbyterian, which describes our form of government—elders elected by the congregation for a set term. We are Reformed, which describes the Christian tradition from which we’ve inherited our distinctive beliefs (see www.pcusa.org). We are #ForMorganton, which describes our focus and desire to be intentionally for our neighbors, both local and global.
We gather in worship and sing hymns accompanied by a pipe organ and chancel choir during a traditional liturgy or order of worship. We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month. We love when families worship together! Children are always welcome in worship. However, we do offer childcare and kids ages 5 and under. An announcement is made about midway through worship and kids are invited to join our paid nursery staff at the front of the sanctuary.
